All About Me

You know how when you were younger and you had a dream career like a footballer or a firefighter or a tradie? Being involved in the entertainment industry was always my #1 goal, I used to read copies of TV Week cover to cover and listened routinely to Adam Richard & Richard Reid’s gossip reports on FOX FM, it was through these media outlets that I soon realised being an entertainment journalist was something I wanted to do.

When I eventually graduated high school, I threw myself into entertainment journalism course I could find to learn the ropes, and the experience I gained has taken me to many places which include presenting Channel 31 shows like HIT TV and 1700 to becoming a contributing presenter on ACE Radio during Radio Training Institute’s Broadcast Week where I presented the celebrity news segment for the breakfast show and co hosted the drive home show Yin & Yang with Victor and Simon

I like to consider myself a ‘pop culture guru’ with a keen eye for detail. I have a bevy of knowledge about celebrity culture, tv, music and movies that I can reference at the drop of a hat and ultimately use to enhance the pieces I publish. I also like to bring an empathetic style to my articles and entertainment journalism as a whole, as sometimes it can be used to punch down on celebrities whereas I’d like to write in a way that bridges the gap between civilian and celebrity, hopefully making readers/listeners/viewers realise that these entertainers may be on a platform but are still human beings.

This Journalism Portfolio is a reflection of the work I have done so far, on display for the world to see. Included are links to my social media accounts on which I am very active.
